I got a tattoo!

Ok ok ok I didn't. I'm not as cool as Kara, Tes or Scott :(

I have been playing loads of Call of Duty on the PS3 though. And I'm saving up for Turkey, Canada and a Toyota Glanza...

So! Been a while. Canada was great ( duh ) !

I had a game weekend last weekend , meaning playing computer games trough the whole weekend. Wasnt that bad! Had a good time and little sleep.

Now, since some of you already know we already booked for Canada. December 22nd is the date. Comes down to 153 days. To celebrate this fact Eva and I came up with a Canada represent idea! Ralph, Kara, Tessa and Scott all sent us Canada themed " tattoo's ". I, bad ass that I am, will have a Canada tattoo on me till we get there. They will all be on different spots on my body and only one at a time. I had a I love Canada one on my chest for 4 days so I should be good.

We also got our gift pack from Scott and Tess last week. 2 huge towels, slippers, Canada photobook, tattoo's and some other stuff! Thanks guys!

I made a mistake....


I gave Harm a Playstation 3...

Nice, having an evening together.... ;-) And Harm is sitting on the ground doing a racing game...

A well, at least he is having lots of fun with it (Tess & Kara, Harm is a bit more expensive than Scott and Ralph. They can have fun with empty boxes).

Sunshine!

Well, after a looong while I finally made some progress with my car.. I hired a mechanic :) Well hired. A friend of ours is a mechanic at Nissan and after much talking of Wout ( THANKS A LOT! ) he is willing to piece my car together. Ofcourse for a fee but I'm more then willing to pay for it! The weather has been very very nice here lately ( around 25 centigrade ) and I cant wait to hit the twisties with the MR2.

Also! We are now definitly planning on going to Call Gary ( ok ok ok I know its Calgary ) in January. Just to see what its like, chat up with all the fantastic people there and just enjoy Canada ones again. What a culture shock its been to go back to Holland! 

Although Scott and Tessa will both be at work by then we still have Kara to nag since she's still on mat leave! She better be ready for us :)  I cant wait to see how the kids are doing, get endless Dairy Queen with Scott ( mmmm Oreo Earthquake YES PLEASE with extra extra stuffing! )

Whats on the schedule for this week. Foodwise, not a lot, Eva has started her diet last week so I'm on an extra snack diet myself :) oh the horror!! Further I have to get all the parts together for the car, enjoy the sunshing, go play soccer tonight , go to the gym tomorrow AND make a start with Kara's website.

Don't cry for me Canada!

Well as most of you know by know. Canada rocked! I still feel like I left a piece of me down there soooo were going back in January...

Now, snap back to reality, weather has been awesome here and were just about to leave to do some painting! For the rest, last week, lots of work etc...

Last 2 days lots of sun and boredom... I need more friends who likes beaches and live close by :(

Week 2!

First week!

So, the first week is almost over. 

It was a busy one!!

We arrived on saturday evening, so we didn't really do much.

Sunday was mother's day, 

We had breakfast at Denny's, eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, toast and pancakes! After that Tess and I went to do some shopping and in the evening Ralph, Kara, Eveline, Henk, Hayden and Olivia came over for dinner. 

It was a lot of fun to see everyone and Olijfje for the first time. 

On monday we went to Banff, Lake Louise, Field, Natural Bridge, Yoho National Park, Emerald Lake and the Kicking Horse river. It was a lot of fun because there was a huge amount of snow here!!! I loved it and offcourse I got stuck to my knees. Not used to being in the snow I think. 

At 4 we went to the hotel in Lake Louise, our rooms were pretty small but after Tess and I redecorated the room it was fine. 

We had dinner in the small town and went back to the hotel... HOT TUB TIME!! 

The hot tub was on the roof in the middle of the mountains, so awesome!! 

 

After the kids got to bed we played Canada-opoly. It's the Canada version of Monopoly ;)

At 10:40 pm we went to sit in the hot tub again. To bad the clouds were there otherwise we could see the stars..

The hot tub closed at 11 pm so we continued our Canada-opoly... Scott was out of the game pretty fast, Harm was next and Tessa and I were still in the game.. Tessa won eventually... big time!

We went to bed at like 1.30 am but it was fun!!

Next day we went to Banff town. I shopped at Lush and Gap.... love it!! Banff is soooo cute!! 

We went back to Calgary and shopped at Tommy Hilfiger... Shopping days like that are gooooood. 

In the evening, Tessa, Jennifer, Jenny, Meryl, Kara, Monica, Alicia and I went on a Ladies Night at Tantra. In a limo!!! 

There were strippers there but they were hilarious. It was fun though. We all got little tipsy.... even I! I fell down when I tried to open the car.... funny!

On the way home I think we drove Scott crazy... we were kind of loud I guess..

Wednesday we had a calm day at home, relaxing.

Thursday Tessa dropped us at Market Mall. Shopping!! And Lush again!! Don't you just love Lush? I do, and I'm a official addict! 

In the evening we went to Eveline and Henk and have dinner there. 

It's Friday now (in Holland it's saturday, I am aware of that) and we went to the Zoo with Jennifer, Jessica, Tessa and their kids...

Tonight a bunch of people are coming and we'll have a fire and make s'mores..
