Ten on..... Monday?!

1. Yes, we know we didn't write anything in a long time. Lots have happend since then! So I am going to tell you!

2. We went on a holiday to Limburg, yes... Holland. We have seen lots of nice city's and even a castle. Harm drove the Mr2 there, with my mom in it. I drove the volvo with dad in it.




3. Last summer was hot and short! We had a real summer for like 2 weeks, 40 degrees, and than we just had 19 degrees and clouds. Winter had allready started now. It's freezing at night. Not fun. Even the horses are wearing the winter blankets allready.

4. We went to Wales for 5 days, had an awesome time! Just loved loved loved the nature and all its peace. Elan valley is really the best I ever saw in europe.




5. Miss Mo had an astma attack. Apparently that doesn't happen to horses a lot. Nobody I know had ever heard of it. Thank God for a desent vet! She had medication for 2 weeks and a lot of injections, 15 to be exact. Now we have to be calm till summer and hope it doesn't come back or make her health to go bad.

6. the 13th of November I am going to have a costumed party. The theme is flirtatious fairytale and I am going as Cinderella :D I allready bought the dress and it is supposed to arrive at our place this week! I'm sooooo exited!!



7. I lost 11 kilo's. I stopped with the diet or 3 months and didn't gain any weight. No I'm starting again to loose the last 9 kilo. I hope to be in shape next summer :)

8. I am a Gleek! Yes, how can you not love Glee! Rachels voice is awesome, Finn, Jonathan and Mark are awesome to look to and you can sing along!


9. We have a government... sort off. I wonder how long this is going to work. And what are they going to decide? Are we going to be like France? Were they are forbidding to wear burka's? Or like germany, they decided having a multicultural country failed... We have the same kind of government now.

10.. I should really write more blogs. My english sucks!

a long long time ago, I can still remember....

Yes, I know. Apart from Harm's curious message (miles? euro? litre?) nothing really happend on this blog.

That has a reason. Lots happend outside of this blog!

Where to start?

1. The heat in Holland. OMFG! I'm used to a lot, and I can handle a lot. But having almost 3 weeks of 30 degrees is getting enoying! If I could, I would swim all day.
But.. then the horses would be to warm and I think that's sad! So during the weekend's I'm mostly at the farm washing them.
Other bad things about these temperatures are flies...


Tweet has a bigger problem with flies... so we have a bigger solution.

Today Harm and I made a sprinkler system in the field so they can choose what to do.

2. Then we have soccer and the world champignonship! We are doing amazing and end up in the finals... how did we get there? I haven't seen a decent match and yes, I watched them all.
Last time we watched at my parent's place. My mom had a lot of fun with my 'beessie'.. an stuffed animal you can buy at the Albert Heijn....





3. The horses have been in Wassenaar for almost 2 months. Although I like the stables there I really had it. Going there everyday, not deciding how long they stay outside, not being able to go there in the evening. Things that start to irritate me after a while. All that made us come back to Leidschendam before they were done here. The problem now? We don't have any grass.. but since it hasn't rained for 3 weeks it's not so different with fields that had grass..


4. My Iphone broke down... and that joke cost me 275 euro.. AUW! The charger systeem broke and apparantly you can not use your warranty for that. Well, at least I have an Iphone back now.


5. Yeah! We/I received a package from Canada, stuffed with dippies and BENEFIT! Life is goooooood! Thanks ladies!


6. You know what else is awesome? WE HAVE BENEFIT IN THE HAGUE! I went there last sunday, offcourse it's not as big as in Calgary, but the essentials are there :D

7. Right now.. an huge amount of bad weather is coming up..


All the positives a big negatives for me. Yes, it's good for the ground/grass/trees/flowers that we get rain... It's not so good for me. I'm always afraid the lighting is going to strike at the farm..

8. 6 weeks ago, for the first time in 10 years... I fell of Tweety... we jumped. Or actually. I jumped. Tweety stopped right in front of the jump. Haha, it was funny though. I was wearing my safety cloting so it was oke.

I probably missed a lot of things.. thing is. I cannot really concentrate now because of the thunder and lightning..

Ten on Tuesday

1. Yes, I am aware of the fact I didn't do a ten on tuesday for a while.. We are extremely busy lately! In a month I have lots more time! Why are we so busy?

2. We moved my grandma last weekend after a couple of weeks of preperations. She still lived in Zoetermeer and had to do everything herself. She is almost 91 now so that wasn't that easy anymore. Now she lives in a home for old people in Leidschendam. A 5 minute drive from our home. Her breakfast, lunch and dinner comes to her room, same with the coffee and tea! So she had company for 6 times a day.

3. The kidsfarm where the horses stand needs to move. Because my work is building on a different part of the terrain and closing ponds etc. they are making a new pond.. in the middle of our farm. We have gotten a beautiful new land but we still need to make everything there. That's lots of work.

4. Since the constructors are digging allready we needed to move the horses somewhere else for a while.. They are in Wassenaar now.. a 30 minute walk from the beach! That's really awesome. We went there for 2 times last week.

As you can see... Harm surprised us with a visite while we were on the beach! Don't I have the best boyfriend in the world?

5. last sunday it was mothersday. We didn't do that much with it this year. My parents ate at our place and after dinner we went to grandma. Just a relaxed sunday!

6. Harm bought a new car!! The stearing wheel is on the 'wrong' side but except that it's an awesome car!



7. What the **** is dinner? Since the horses are in Wassenaar I come home at 21:45 and I'm not hungry anymore. I know it's really bad to skip a meal, so I just eat a little bit.

8. I'm sad... My favorite Lush is being discontinued! Yummy yummy yummy... I'm going to miss it!

9. I want to go shopping! And next month I will go shopping! I just need it!

10. Why is my radio channel changing by itself? Bluh!!!!

Ten on Tuesday

1. Let me start by saying that I looooovvvveee this sunshine. It's 18 degrees here now and sunny. Let the spring begin!

2. I just got home from a 2,5 hour ride on Mo. Together with Tweety and a friend we went to the Vlietlanden. A recreational park. With this weather we had lots of fun. Mo was busy and I have the blisters to prove that. Haha. She is not a lazy Irish Cob like most of them. I'm still sure I found my dream horse.

3. Harm got home from NY today. I haven't seen him jet cause he had to go working right away. I guess he had fun and... I survived sleeping alone for 4 nights! But I'm really happy I'm going to see him in about 45 minutes :D

4. Easter has come and go. I celebrated it at my parents place were my brother and his wife and kids came to. We had an awesome brunch. It was jammie!! Haha.

5. I had a nice surprise for Harm when he got back, he hasn't seen it jet and to be honest neither did I.... What could it be?

6. I really enjoy reading Kara's blog everyday. It's something I look forward to at the end of the day. Keep up the good work!

7. Don't you just like having a 5 day weekend? I took friday off, monday we were off anyway because of easter and I took today off to... Now 2 days of work and the weekend can start again. Next week i'm going back to my 5 day working week.

8. Time flies by! It's allready 4 months since we left from Canada. It feels like a couple of weeks.

9. I enjoy collecting cooking books... I really do. But that's a problem... It makes paying attention for what I eat pretty difficult.

10... I should start taking english lessons again....

Ten on Tuesday

1. Lots has happend lately. So this must me an easy blog to write. Lets start!

2. My mom turned 60 on march 17th. It was an awesome party and we had lots of fun. We were with 13 woman in different ages. My best friend Ingrid joined my mom and me to. I really liked that since the rest is way older than I am.

3. Lots of baby goats are born. We have 9 healthy baby's and we still expect 1 or 2. Now we have to wait for the sheep to give birth.

4. I'm sick. Yes we know the obvious but I have an ear infection now. Wow that hurts! I feel really sorry for Jade and Barry cause they had them lots when they were young. Auch!

5. Last weekend I took a friend of mine to a show with Irish Cob stallions. She found it on the internet and we just went there. It was fun! We saw some possible boyfriends for Mo and I bought some cleaning stuff for white horses.

6. Harm is going to New York this weekend. I'm sooooo jealous! Why is he going and not me!!

7. I love having long weekends. Because all the free days coming up I took some extra days off. That makes me having 5 day weekends. Isn't that awesome!

8. I have a suprise for Harm when he comes back from NY.... You'll see the result soon!

9. We had a lovely rainbow last friday. It was soooo pretty! You got to love nature when you see that.


10. I have silly horses. I love them to death!

Ten on Tuesday

1. Like I told a couple of times before, they are going to build extremely close to my office. Want to see how close?
It makes a lot of ennoying sounds and I hear the building hurting... there are coming scary sounds from the walls and ceiling.



2. We have baby's! No not Harm and me but on the farm! Goats, lots and lots of goats.Or ar least 5. And we are expecting a lot more. They are soooo cute! You never want them to get bigger.


3. I love watching houses for sale on the internet. Dream how our life could be and how our house is going to look like. Tonight I talked on the phone with my mom for over an hour just about houses on the internet.
I want a bath, 3 rooms at least and something to sit outside. I would like a place where to put my bike and christmas stuff...

4. Sometimes my work is so funny. Althought it's a hard world with a lot of really bad things. Clients make funny situations to. You have to laugh sometimes!

5. I need to iron.. Bad time. But every evening I find a reason not to. I promise, tomorrow I'm going to iron.. I think.

6. My mom is getting 60 in about 1.5 hours! She doesn't look a day over 40.... don't you think so?

7. Why do our cats like to eat everything I eat? I think they are spoiled to the bone.

8. Harm is seriously thinking about selling the MR2.. Although I have 1 really bad memory about that car (someone allready found a weel somewhere in England?) I still love it and it sort of hurts thinking about selling it. But I have to accept it. It's Harm's car.

9. Since a couple of weeks I'm washing my hair in the morning. And allthough I'm not a morning person, I like it!
I get up waaaaaay to early, get showered, get dressed, eat, watch TV, do my make-up and dry my hair. And then I still have lots of time left to get to work..

10. It's so much fun to watch Jon & Kate plus 8. When they say: 'I know we are never going to break up'... are you sure? Cause I heard something else..
